How recommendations are chosen

We start with product fit: task, reach, duty rating, material, storage, handling, setup, and value. A product does not receive a favorable conclusion merely because a retailer offers a higher commission. Published specifications come from manufacturers or retailers and can change.

Reviews and testing

We distinguish specification-based buying guidance from hands-on testing. We will not claim to have used or tested a model unless we have. If a manufacturer provides a sample, discount, travel, sponsorship, or other benefit, that connection will be disclosed.
